This AS Life | Patients Report from ACR

Every year, hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals – perhaps even your very own doctors – attend medical meetings around the world. These annual gatherings bring together the smartest minds in the industry to talk about the most exciting research, news and scientific discoveries. Sounds interesting, right?

We think so, which is why we’re bringing three amazing people living with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) to report live from one of the world’s premier meetings of rheumatologists – the American Academy of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California.

From November 6-11, more than 15,000 healthcare professionals from over 100 countries will come together to discuss the latest research and insights around rheumatologic care. And in case you didn’t know, AS is a rheumatic disease, meaning some of the sessions will address the unique challenges that people living with AS face.

Introducing #Rheumers

This year, it won’t just be healthcare professionals at ACR. Our Rheumers will be on the ground as well, reporting live on behalf of This AS Life and sharing all of the great information and insights from ACR with our global community.

Interested in the link between rheumatic disease and sexual issues? What about the influence of sleep on your health? Our Rheumers will be attending sessions on these topics and more.

Follow Along!

Our #Rheumers start reporting on Friday, November 6th so mark your calendars and follow the conversation on our Twitter and Instagram channels, or by searching the hashtag #Rheumers. Have a question for them? Feel free to tweet it or post as a comment on Instagram. We look forward to seeing you online!
